​The REI apprenticeship is a two-year, post-graduate opportunity to bring your education beyond the classroom and into communities around the world. As an apprentice, you'll gain hands-on experience in your field while living cross-culturally, forming meaningful relationships and growing both personally and professionally. You’ll serve alongside teammates and local partners, all while being mentored by seasoned country leaders who invest in your development. As you grow, you’ll help others grow – living out REI’s mission of building people to build nations. Use your degree to meet real needs, build lasting friendships and contribute to meaningful change.

All staff are supervised by a seasoned country leader and are trained, both before and on the field, in a variety of areas including language skills, cross-cultural skills, professional skills and fundraising skills.
